Ponnudurai Thambirajah, 88, loving husband of Kamaladevi Thambirajah, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2020 at MidState Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Urumpirai, Sri Lanka, he was the son of the late Ponnudurai Thambiah and Pooranam Nagamuthu.
Ponnuduari attended the University of Jaffna Sri Lanka. He was employed by the American Center, U.S. Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka and retired after 37 years of service to the U.S. Government.
Besides his wife Kamaladevi, he is survived by his daughter, Anandi T. Benzy and her husband Benzy Fernando. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Aishwarya, Krishna R., and Geetha H. Benzy and his three sisters, Mrs. Buvaneswary Subramaniam of London, Mrs. Rajamani Nadarajah of Canada, and Mrs. Parameswary Arroran of Sri Lanka. He was predeceased by his sister Mrs. Rajaluxmi Ramalingam.
