Christopher F. Avila, 31 Died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 17, 2020 after a second brief battle with cancer. He was born on January 04, 1989 in Bridgeport, CT. He was a resident of Meriden, CT for the past 25 years.

He is survived by his father, Freddie Avila, his mother, Lizzette Lagares-Avila and his siblings, Vanessa Lagares, Katelyn Avila and Matthew Avila, as well as his godparents, Nelson and Betty Lagares of Union City, New Jersey.
Christopher was predeceased by his grandparents, Felix and Anna Avila of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico and Carmelo and Carmen Lagares of Bridgeport, CT. Christopher had no children of his own.
He was a graduate of Orville H. Platt H.S. in Meriden, CT, Class of 2007. He also graduated on July 10, 2015 from Porter Chester Institute in Rocky Hill, CT in the field of Automotive Technology. He was currently employed at Modern Tire & Automotive Center in Cheshire, CT.
He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and of the New York NFL Giants. His passion, when he had the chance to do it, was making music with his cousins Giovanni, Ulysses and Andy just for fun. He went by the name of LYRIC 89. He also enjoyed working on and repairing cars for family and friends alike.
