Lorraine F. Krock, 97, wife of the late Adolph Krock died on Thursday May 7, 2020 at Apple Coccomo Rehab in Meriden. Born in Orange, Massachusetts on June 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred Burnett.

She had resided in Erving, Massachusetts where she graduated from high school. At the age of 20, Lorraine moved to Connecticut with her brother for work. In 1942 she married Adolph and resided in Meriden for the rest of her life. Mrs. Krock was employed by the Fosdick Corporation as a secretary. She was also a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church.

Lorraine was an avid reader. She was always with a book. She loved gardening in the spring, buying flowers and planting her prize window boxes. She loved her family and was always sad they did not live closer.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Krock, her son David Krock and his wife Sharon Stanton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers and sister, nieces and nephews.

We would like to give a special thank you to mom’s aide, Debby, for the outstanding care and love that she gave to our mother.

Due to the current health concerns as a result of the COVID-19 virus, all services are private. The John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East main St., Meriden has been entrusted with the arrangements. For online condolences, please visit

Dear Donna and David,
It is I who needs to thank you for the privilege of taking care of your mom!
She was my baby!! She always made me smile and laugh! She stole my heart away and I am so grateful that I was able to care for her for so long! She was clever, witty, and always oh so classy! As well as Sweet and just a wee bit spicy! Lol! She was a "pippa!"
" Yes sir she's my baby! No sir I don't mean maybe! Yes sir she's my baby now and forever! Love you much Donna! And my heart felt condolences to you and David!

Donna and David,
I am so sorry to hear the news of Aunt Lorraine's passing. Now matter how old we get, they are still our mothers and it is still difficult, so my thoughts are with you. She was such a kind and thoughtful woman in my conversations with her, whenever we would get to see her at get togethers. I have many Memorial Day and summer barbeque memories with her and Uncle Ed, Uncle Tom and Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Doug and Aunt Stacia. To me, she epitomized class and grace. Again, so sorry for the loss of your mom.
