Lorraine lived her life being passionate about her family, cooking, heritage and had the most amazing green thumb. There was not a person who met her who would not describe her as sassy with a great sense of humor. She lived her life believing rules were meant to be broken. Lorraine’s biggest passion in life was caring for her family. She was a loving wife and mother. She always worried about her kids, even though we were grown. Her dedication and love of family will stay with us always.
Lorraine had many “adopted children” over the years as well. She was mom to each and every one of them in every sense of the word. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Laughorne and her husband Brent Laughorne of Roanoke, VA; her son, James E. Cepaniewski and his wife Tracy Borzillo of Farmington, CT; her four grandchildren, John Maguire and Ryan Maguire, Amy Kureczka, Holly A. Minnick and her husband Joshua; her four great grandchildren, Brinley A. Minnick, Hazel G. Minnick, Ashlyn H. Kureczka, Dillon A. Kureczka; one special niece, Jill Zadar; and her devoted caregiver Carol Zona. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and by several grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Edward Cepaniewski; her parents; her four brothers, Paul, Tony, William and Macarius; and her two sisters, Helen and Catherine.
