Serviliana “Yeya” Mirles, 77, went to meet the Lord on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Apple Coccomo Rehab Center.

Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico on July 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Marcial and Arcangel (Velez) Mirles.
Miss Mirles was employed by Eyelet Specialty, J. B. Coggins and Coccomo Rehab retiring in 1995. She was a founding mother of the First Christian Charismatic Church of Meriden.
Serviliana loved and enjoyed raising birds, family gatherings and spending time with her siblings. She loved the Lord and was a people person. She was an honorary seamstress for the Boy Scout's, always volunteering to attach their badges.
She is survived by her daughter, Inarvis Burgos, two sons, Jaime A. Ocasio (Deb Matias) and Jose L. Fernandez (Lisa) and nine grandchildren; Larissa Frelat (Francois), Andre and Iliana Burgos, Joseph, Jocelyn and Nathan Fernandez, Jaime Ocasio II, Dante and Pierce Matias, and a great grandson Kingsley Ocasio. She is also survived by a sister, Martha Mendoza (Jose) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters; Paula Matias, Ceferina Gonzalez and Carmen Chaparro and her brothers; Sinforiano, Virjilio, Alejandro and Bernardo Mirles.
A special thank you to her nieces Nydia Ferrigno, Lourdes Uccello, Marisol, Rosalina and Brenda Mendoza and Nereida Martinez.
She will be greatly missed by her children and family and friends, she was a loving mother, doting grandmother, and had a special twinkle in her eye for her great grandson Kingsley. She is now with Jesus in eternal peace.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11a.m. at the First Christian Charismatic Church, 224 Cook Avenue, Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
