Obituary

Alfred H. Sullo, 61, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2019 at his home in Winnabow, N.C. Born in New Haven, CT on August 5, 1958 he was the son of Alfred P. Sullo and Philomena “Fannie” Porto Sullo. He was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford. Al was a tractor trailer driver for more than 30 years. He took part in Wishes on Wheels for many years just to see a smile on a family’s face when they got to ride in his truck for the parade. He also loved the casino and buying storage units. Al was also a collector of Harley Davidson memorabilia. Whenever anyone needed a hand or direction’s they could always dial up Al for help. Al loved talking on the phone morning, noon or night. Al was a loving and devoted father.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy L. Sullo of Meriden; his sister, Susan (Sullo) Fucci & brother-in-law John Fucci of East Haven; his companion, Edie St. John of Winnabow N.C. and his nieces, Nicole Fucci, and Kristine Fucci. Special people are Eileen Grady, Michael Kaczor and Alissa Colon. Al was predeceased by both his paternal parents Alfred P. Sullo and Philomena “Fannie” Porto Sullo, and a special friend Robert Nacca

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Sunday, December 8th from 1 to 3 p.m. with his service commencing at 3 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. Burial will be private.

Al you will truly be missed by all your family and friends. God must have needed some help and called out to you. Al you are missed so so much. Paris is missing her daddy. She sits by the window and waits for you. I miss you and I will cherish everything you ever taught me exspecially to be a strong person. We had a lot of good times and I will never forget them.. Our memories will be held in my heart forever. I will meet you on the other side and we will be together again.
