Sergio Eduardo Olivera, 58, died on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Born in Mendoza, Argentina on September 28, 1960, he was the son of the late Raul Hamilton Olivera and Beatriz Elsa Deagustin-Olivera. He had resided in Meriden happily with his daughter and grandson. Mr. Olivera was self-employed and owned a successful home improvement company.
Yiyo loved riding his motorcycles, relaxing at home and spending time with his kids. He absolutely adored his grandson, Maddox (3 years old). Sergio also loved hanging out playing Truco and having cookouts with his friends and watching soccer with his brother. Yiyo touched countless lives and he’ll be sorely missed by those lucky enough to have known him.
He is survived by his daughter, Ayelen Olivera; his son, Jeremy Olivera; his beloved grandson, Maddox Olivera; and his brother, Raul Olivera. Sergio was predeceased by his stepfather Manolo Arancibia and his cousin, Monica DeLucia.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 1 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be private.
