She made many lifelong friends wherever she worked.

Helen was married 68 years to her loving husband, Joseph, who predeceased her in December 2017. Both Helen and Joe were active, loyal members of Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Meriden where they willingly shared their time and talents with members of the congregation for many years, often taking on positions of leadership. She was also predeceased by three sisters Anne, Mary and Betty; six brothers Theodore, George, Stephen, Michael, John and Walter; and a special niece, Sandy.
Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Joseph and Lynne of Southington, David and Bonnie of Meredith, NH and Vincent and Lori of Durham. She also leaves eight grandchildren and their spouses, ten great-grandchildren, several nephews, a special niece, Dr. Karen Balkman, of Roswell, NM and a special friend, Patty Marcinczyk, who was of great assistance to her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Helen was always there to help with anything that was needed for family and friends. She took great pride in maintaining the continuity of family traditions. Helen would always host the annual holiday meals and it took family members’ perseverance to finally convince her to give this duty up in her later years. She was especially known for her baking skills and, of course, she would share the goodies with anyone who was visiting. There weren’t many things that Helen couldn’t figure out how to sew, mend, or bake throughout her years. Her greatest attribute of all would be the love she felt for her family and friends.
