With sympathy to the Cossette family for the loss of your husband and father. May the memories you have of him shine through the pain you are going through and give you strength. The intense feelings associated with grief are normal. To help me cope with grief when my father died I accepted support from family and friends, recognized that everyone grieves differently, balanced my time by doing activities that temporarily distanced me from my pain, and kept alive the memories by collecting pictures of him. This gave me comfort and strength. I hope this will help you if you do these things too. I also prayed to Jehovah God for strength and comfort. 2 Corinthians 1;3, 4.

He was an asset to the City through his years in the Meriden Police Department, a stalwart member of the Meriden Lions Club, and helped so many in need, professionally and personally. He was so proud of his family, and they of him. I was proud to call him friend.
Rest in peace, Dep...
