Therese (Brouillard) Guay, 88, wife of 66 years to Raymond Guay, passed away on Saturday, October 13th at Apple Rehab Coccomo in Meriden. Born in Canada on May 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Avila and Blanche (Menard) Brouillard. She had resided in Cheshire and Wolcott before retiring to Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Guay was employed by Airpax of Cheshire for 10 years, retiring in 1991. Therese was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She loved nothing more than her family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Manon and Joseph Marquis and Carole and Michael Simon; and her son, Robert Guay and son-in-law Ronald Mercier. Also left to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her three brothers, Raymond, Andre and Guy, and many nieces and nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane Mercier, her sister, Rejeane Boivin and her brothers, Norman, Gerard and Gilles.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17th at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450 and at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Campus for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 16th from 5 to 7 pm. Her family would like to specially thank the staff at Apple Rehab Coccomo (especially David Roberts) and Hartford Healthcare Hospice for their wonderful care of Therese.
