The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
Anna L. (Davino) Indorf, 89, wife of the late Frank E. Indorf Jr., died on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Masonicare Health Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Meriden on December 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ernestine (Mezzanotte) Davino. She was a lifelong Meriden resident and graduated from Meriden High School, Class of 1945.
Mrs. Indorf was employed by St. Mary’s School as a secretary from 1966 until her retirement in 1996. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and a member of the St. Elizabeth Society and Meriden Emblem Club. She was an avid bridge player, talented seamstress and enjoyed camping and vacationing in the Hamptons.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Indorf of Meriden and Cynthia L. Indorf and her husband Leslie Wong of Steamboat Springs, CO and two grandchildren, Michael and Julia Wong. She is also survived by two special nieces, Dottie Drechsler and her husband Mark and Betty Poulos and her husband Chris. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mana Markowski and Frances Tomassetti and her brothers, Mario and John Davino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Mt. Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden, CT 06451. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Thursday, August 24th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the United Spinal Association, 120-34 Queens Blvd. #320, Kew Gardens, NY 11415 or the Masonicare, Health Center, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492.
