Steven “Ziggy” J. Zygmont, 62, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long bout with cancer. Born on February 8, 1955, he was the son of Francis H. and Catherine A. Zygmont. He was a lifelong resident of Meriden and graduated from Platt High School with the Class of 1973. Steve was the owner and operator of Expert Auto. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. Ziggy was a licensed professional pyro-technician.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Christine Zygmont-Ross and her husband Tom also two brothers, Richard K. Zygmont and Jeffrey F. Zygmont. He is also survived by two nephews, Matthew Ross and Quinn Zygmont.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday, February 10th at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450 on Friday, February 9th from 4-7 p.m.
