Jose “Pachy” Rodriguez, 64, loving companion of thirty years to Elaine Pelletier, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 after a brief illness. Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico on July 27, 1953, he was the son of the late Jose Dolores Velez and Delia Rodriguez. Pachy was employed by the City of Meriden as the equipment operator for the Highway Department for over thirty years prior to his retirement. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, walking his dog Rocco, but especially spending time with his three granddaughters.
He is survived by one step-daughter, Marci Uliase; one step-son, Ronnie Uliase and his wife Hazel; three granddaughters, Alexis Negron, Paige Uliase and Sienna Uliase; two sisters, Margarita Withee and Aida Rivera and one brother, William Velez-Rodriguez. He was predeceased by his son, Jose “Mitch” Velez and a step-son, Michael Uliase.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
