Barbara M. Berndt, 82, of Meriden, wife of Ron J. Berndt, died on January 18, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Meriden on July 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Hazel B. (Smith) Lohman. She had resided in Meriden for her entire life graduating from Meriden High School. Mrs. Berndt was a homemaker and a Secretary for North End Auto Parts.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Timothy J. Berndt; her three grandchildren, Eric Berndt and his wife Lianna, Nick Berndt and Courtney Berndt and her three great-grandchildren, Brooke, Parker and Summer Berndt. She is also survived by her brother, Dave Lohman. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Berndt, two daughter-in-laws, Robin Berndt and Holly Berndt and her two brothers, Henry Lohmann and Walter Lohmann Jr.
