Obituary for Elizabeth S. "Bette" Noonan (Service)

Elizabeth (Bette) Noonan, wife of the late Francis S. Noonan, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2017, at the age of 93.
Bette was born in Paisley, Scotland to Andrew and Ellen Service and joined six siblings. She graduated from Meriden High School where she met and later married the love of her life, Francis. She was a devoted wife and mother and prided herself on raising her children and filling the family home with much love and happiness.
Bette met each day with optimism and kindness. Whether she was assisting staff or students at Lincoln Middle School or helping a customer choose the right handbag at G Fox, Bette made each person feel a little better for having met her.
She is survived by her four children, Attorney Thomas Noonan (Joann), Attorney Robert Noonan, Patricia LaMontagne, and Doctor Charles Noonan (Enia). She is also survived by her grandchildren, James Flynn (Kelly), Elizabeth Calandra (Alfonso), Emily Noonan, Padric Noonan, Allegra Noonan, and her great grandchildren, Maggie, Colin, Tessa and Angelo, as well as several nieces and nephews of the Noonan and Service Families. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Polly Noonan, her son-in-law, John LaMontagne, and her grandson, Matthew Noonan.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, September 29th, at 11:00 am at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1103 Chamberlain Hwy, Berlin, followed by a ceremony at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1102 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin.
The family would like to express complete gratitude to the staff at Southington Care Center for the exceptional care they provided.
