Annette E. McClure (Grenier)
Annette E. McClure, 87, wife of the late Lucien F. McClure, died on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Masonic Health Center after a brief illness. Born in Meriden on March 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Antonia (Dionne) Grenier. Annette was also raised by her late step-mother Anita Grenier. She had resided in Meriden most of her life before moving to Southington. Mrs. McClure was employed by Atlas Aero for almost thirty-five years before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church. Annette loved to travel, especially taking cruises. She read every magazine and newspaper she could get ahold of and was also an avid gardener. Lucien and Annette loved to spend their time together at their cottage in Clinton. “Bubbles” will be forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Herbst and her husband Les and Renee Pepper and her husband John; her five grandchildren, Todd and his wife Suzanne, Danielle and her husband Chris, Kyrsten and her husband Sal, Jason and Matthew; her three great-grandchildren, Riley, Hunter and Anthony; her sister, Bertha Boudreau and one son-in-law Noel Aubé. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. McClure was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Aubé and by her brothers, Paul and Roland.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 9:15 am from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in St. Laurent Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, September 10th from 2 to 5 pm. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Patricia Aubé Memorial Foundation, 100 Maple Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450. The family would like to thank the staff of Masonic Health Care Hospice for the care they gave Annette
