Conrad Clavet, 84, predeceased by his wife, Cecile (Primeau) Clavet, of Southington, was taken into eternity by Almighty God on Friday, August 11, 2017 after a long illness.
Born September 17, 1932 in St. Basile, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Emile and Ida (Cyr) Clavet. Conrad was a resident of Meriden, CT for over 40 years and a resident of Southington, CT for the last 10 years. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed general contractor serving Meriden and the surrounding communities. He was a longtime communicant of St. Laurent Parish.
Conrad is survived by two sons, Richard Clavet and his wife Patricia of Cheshire and James Clavet and his wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter, Diane Masella of Wallingford; two sisters, Yolande Plourde of Southington and Claudette and her husband Gerry Tully of Plantsville; two brothers, Roland and his wife Germaine Clavet of Wallingford and Gilles and his wife Angela Clavet of Keystone Heights, FL; four grandchildren, Jonathan Masella and his wife Leah of Wallingford, Daniel Masella and his wife Lauren of Newington, Katie Masella of Wallingford and Rachel Shampang of Cheshire; and two great-grandsons, Jacob and Jeffrey Shampang both of Cheshire.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Mt. Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden, CT, 06451. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Laurent Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT, 06450 on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m.
