Obituary for David B. Gawlak

David B. Gawlak, 58, died on Monday, May 1, 2017. Born in Meriden on November 20, 1958, he was the son of the late Leo and Theresa (LeTourneau) Gawlak. He was a lifelong Meriden resident and had attended local schools. Mr. Gawlak worked most of his life in the graphic arts and printing industries. He attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He was an avid drummer and a hobbyist inventor, and above all, a loving father and friend.
Mr. Gawlak is survived by one daughter, Melanie A. Gawlak; one son, Thomas A. Gawlak; one sister, Susan Gawlak and her husband Frank Savona; one brother, Michael Gawlak and many cherished lifelong friends, with whom he shared many beautiful memories. He was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Gawlak.
The funeral will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
