"Honoring Those Who Served"

John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home has proudly provided veterans and their families with the military honors they deserve for over 125 years. We show our sincere appreciation for everything they have done for our nation and it's citizens by providing a complimentary wooden flag display case to each veteran's family.

On behalf of your family, we will make a request for a military funeral honors ceremony which includes; folding and presenting the United States burial flag, a military rifle salute, and the playing of Taps. Military honors are provided to the family at no cost. The Antique Veterans Honor Guard of Meriden or the pertinent branch of the armed services can accord military funeral honors. For further information regarding the Antique Veterans, click on the photo below.

We will make arrangements for burial in veterans cemeteries, assist in requests for a military headstone, marker or medallion and in applying for applicable benefits.

Another valuable resource is the Veteran Services Center in Wallingford which can:

  1. Provide information to all Meriden and Wallingford residents who are eligible for veterans benefits and refer them to proper agencies, as needed.
  2. Assist veterans, widows, dependent parents, dependent children and orphans by completing applications to obtain federal and state benefits.
